Illinois High School Basketball - Vernon Hills thwarts Warren Township
December 10, 2022: Gurnee, IL 60031 The Vernon Hills Cougars (Vernon Hills, IL) basketball knocked off the host Warren Township Blue Devils (Gurnee, IL), 40-21 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Cougars (7-3) will now prepare for their test against Lake Park (Roselle, IL). The Lancers go into the non-league test with a 6-2 record. In their last test, Lake Park notched a victory over Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL), 55-41, in a league test.
The Blue Devils now own a 2-7 record. They play next when they host Mundelein for a North Suburban test on Tuesday, December 13. Warren Township will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 36-28 non-league loss to Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-5.
