December 10, 2024: Belle Plaine, IA 52208 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sigourney Savages (Sigourney, IA) and the host Belle Plaine Plainsmen (Belle Plaine, IA), observed Sigourney's basketball team overwhelm Belle Plaine by a score of 67-15.
The Savages (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against English Valleys (North English, IA). The Bears come into the South Iowa Cedar challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, English Valleys was routed by Keota (Keota, IA), 81-37, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Plainsmen encounter the North Tama Red Hawks (Traer, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 12. Belle Plaine will attempt to improve on its 1-4 season record. The Red Hawks come into the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 65-58 league win over GMG (Garwin, IA).
