December 10, 2024: Belle Vernon, PA 15012 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Belle Vernon Leopards (Belle Vernon, PA) and the visiting McKeesport Tigers (McKeesport, PA), observed Belle Vernon's basketball team knock off McKeesport by a score of 74-63.
The Leopards (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against West Mifflin (West Mifflin, PA). The Titans come into the WPIAL 4A 3 challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, West Mifflin was knocked off by Thomas Jefferson (Jefferson Hills, PA), 69-51, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Laurel Highlands Mustangs (Uniontown, PA) in a WPIAL 5A 1 challenge, on Friday, December 13. McKeesport will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 78-44 non-league win over Waynesburg Central (Waynesburg, PA).
