December 21, 2024: Greensburg, PA 15601 The Belle Vernon Leopards (Belle Vernon, PA) basketball were winner over the host Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA), 56-45 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Leopards now possess a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Deer Lakes for a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. Belle Vernon will play a Lancers team coming off a 59-51 non-league loss to Plum (Pittsburgh, PA). The Lancers record now stands at 7-2.
With the loss, Hempfield Area falls to 4-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Greensburg Central Catholic (Greensburg, PA) to play the Centurions in a non-league bout on Friday, December 27. The Centurions go into the bout with a record of 8-0. Greensburg Central Catholic won 66-53 in their recent non-league bout against Kiski Area (Vandergrift, PA)
