The Nelson County Governors bounced the visiting Buffalo Gap Bison basketball squad by a final score of 66-41 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

Next, the Governors clash with the Chatham Cavaliers (Chatham, VA) in a Dogwood outing, on Friday, December 13. Nelson County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Cavaliers enter the outing with a 4-1 record after their 57-54 non-league win over Brookville (Lynchburg, VA).

The Bison (0-1) will now prepare for their outing against Stonewall Jackson (Quicksburg, VA). The Generals enter the non-league outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Stonewall Jackson was overwhelmed by Riverheads (Staunton, VA), 70-22, in a non-league outing.
