Kansas High School Basketball - Collegiate holds off Independence
December 10, 2024: Independence, KS 67301 The Collegiate Spartans basketball team scored 78 points and limited the host Independence Bulldogs to 74 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Spartans now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Parsons for a non-league game on Thursday, December 12. Collegiate will confront a Vikings team coming off a 75-53 non-league win over Mulvane (Mulvane, KS). The Vikings record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Independence falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Circle (Towanda, KS) to confront the Thunderbirds in a non-league game on Thursday, December 12. The Thunderbirds go into the game with a record of 1-1. Circle won 54-44 in their recent non-league game against Labette County (Altamont, KS)
