Kansas High School Basketball - Parsons holds off Independence
January 14, 2025: Independence, KS 67301 The Parsons Vikings basketball team scored 60 points and limited the host Independence Bulldogs to 57 in the Vikings league triumph on Tuesday.
The Vikings now have a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Pittsburg for a Southeast Kansas game on Tuesday, January 28.
With the loss, Independence falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Chanute (Chanute, KS) to confront the Blue Comets in a Southeast Kansas game on Friday, January 17. The Blue Comets go into the game with a record of 4-2. Chanute won 38-33 in their recent league game against Field Kindley (Coffeyville, KS)
