Maryland High School Basketball - Dunbar overwhelms Southwestern
December 10, 2024: Baltimore, MD 21217 The Dunbar Poets basketball team scored 71 points and limited the host Southwestern Sabers to 13 in the Poets non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Poets now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Loch Raven for a non-league game on Saturday, December 14. Dunbar will confront a Raiders team coming off a 60-55 league win over Pikesville (Baltimore, MD). The Raiders record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Southwestern falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Sabers travel to Coppin Academy (Baltimore, MD) to confront the Golden Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 17. The Golden Eagles go into the game with a record of 0-2. Coppin Academy lost 36-30 in their recent league game against Green Street Academy (Baltimore, MD)
