Maine High School Basketball - York thwarts Fryeburg
December 10, 2024: York, ME 03909 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the York Wildcats (York, ME) and the visiting Fryeburg Raiders (Fryeburg, ME), observed York's basketball team knock off Fryeburg by a score of 63-53.
The Wildcats (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Poland (Poland, ME). The Knights come into the B South challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Poland dropped by St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME), 65-44, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Raiders battle the Massabesic Mustangs (Waterboro, ME) in a A South challenge, on Friday, December 13. Fryeburg will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 71-34 non-league loss to Thornton Academy (Saco, ME).
