Louisiana High School Basketball - Pine overwhelms Mt. Hermon
December 10, 2024: Franklinton, LA 70438 The Pine Raiders basketball team scored 78 points and limited the visiting Mt. Hermon Yellowjackets to 44 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Raiders now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Varnado for a non-league game on Friday, December 13. Pine will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 71-22 non-league loss to Lakeshore (Mandeville, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-3.
With the loss, Mt. Hermon falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Independence (Independence, LA) to confront the Tigers in a non-league game on Thursday, December 12. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 2-5. Independence won 80-55 in their recent non-league game against Amite (Amite, LA)
