December 10, 2024: Hattiesburg, MS 39402 Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS) supporters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Oak Grove Warriors (Hattiesburg, MS), 51-41 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Quitman advances its record to 5-3 on the year. The Panthers travel to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS) to face the War Eagles in a non-league match on Friday, December 13. The War Eagles enter the match with a record of 5-5. Wayne County won 46-20 in their recent league match against Stone (Wiggins, MS)
The Warriors now own a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Meridian for a 7A Region 3 match on Friday, December 13. Oak Grove will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 58-52 non-league loss to Neshoba Central (Philadelphia, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-6.
