In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Poth Pirates basketball team scored a close 43-36 win over the Cuero Gobblers.

The Pirates (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Bandera (Bandera, TX). The BULLDOGS come into the non-league contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Bandera edged Young Women's Leadership Academy (San Antonio, TX), 84-24, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Gobblers battle the Bishop Badgers (Bishop, TX) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 12. Cuero will attempt to better on its 11-5 season record. The Badgers come into the contest with a 9-1 record after their 63-30 league win over Orange Grove (Orange Grove, TX).
