California High School Basketball - Downey routs River Islands

In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Downey Knights basketball team scored a big 53-29 win over the River Islands Riptide.

The Knights (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Orestimba (Newman, CA). The Warriors come into the non-league challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Orestimba was routed by Liberty Ranch (Galt, CA), 64-41, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Riptide encounter the West Wolfpack (Tracy, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 12. River Islands will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Wolfpack come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 44-27 non-league loss to Dublin (Dublin, CA).
