North Carolina High School Basketball - Highland Tech succumbs to Central Academy of Technology & Arts

The Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars defeated the visiting Highland Tech Rams basketball team by a tally of 59-50 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to West Stanly for a Rocky River 4A/5A bout on Friday, December 12. Central Academy of Technology & Arts will play a Colts team coming off a 59-42 non-league loss to North Stanly (New London, NC). The Colts record now stands at 3-3.

With the loss, Highland Tech falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Rams host Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to clash with the Ironmen in a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A test on Friday, December 12. The Ironmen go into the bout with a record of 3-4. Cherryville lost 67-44 in their recent league bout against East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC)
