The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) and the host West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC), observed North Gaston's basketball team edge West Lincoln by a score of 66-63.

The Wildcats (6-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Jaguars come into the Big South 5A/6A challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Forestview was tipped by Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC), 71-59, in a non-league challenge.

Next up, the Rebels meet the Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A battle, on Thursday, December 18. West Lincoln will attempt to advance on its 1-7 season record.
