In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets basketball team scored a nice 54-40 victory over the KIPP Pride Pride.

With the victory, Roanoke Rapids advances its record to 1-1 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Friday, December 12. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 1-5. J.F. Webb lost 61-31 in their recent non-league match against Wake Forest (Wake Forest, NC)

The Pride now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bertie for a non-league match on Thursday, December 11. KIPP Pride will face a Falcons team coming off a 43-28 non-league win over Northeast Academy For Aerospace and Advanced Tech (Elizabeth City, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 1-0.
