The Oak Ridge Wildcats basketball team (Oak Ridge, TN), was toppled 70-58 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host McMinn County Cherokees (Athens, TN)

The Cherokees now possess a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Howard Tech for a 4A District 5 battle on Tuesday, December 14. McMinn County will confront a Hustlin' Tigers team coming off a 45-44 league win over Cleveland (Cleveland, TN). The Hustlin' Tigers record now stands at 6-0.

The Wildcats (5-1) will now prepare for their outing against Cleveland (Cleveland, TN). The Blue Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 1-4 record. In their last outing, Cleveland was beaten by Howard Tech (Chattanooga, TN), 45-44, in a league outing.
