The Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets basketball team scored 40 points and restricted the visiting Pelham Hornets to 38 in the Yellow Jackets non-league victory on Saturday.

The Yellow Jackets now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thomasville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 14. Thomas County Central will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 44-37 non-league win over Bainbridge (Bainbridge, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-2.

The Hornets (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Quitman County (Georgetown, GA). The Hornets come into the A Public Region 1 contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Quitman County was nudged by Miller County (Colquitt, GA), 23-21, in a league contest.
