Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Ponce De Leon Pirates (Ponce De Leon, FL) and the host Houston County Lions (Columbia, AL), saw Ponce De Leon's basketball squad hold off Houston County by a tally of 42-41.

With the victory, Ponce De Leon improves its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Bethlehem (Bonifay, FL) to confront the Wildcats in a 1A District 2 challenge on Friday, December 15. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-0. Bethlehem won 52-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Samson (Samson, AL)
