Virginia High School Basketball - Patrick County overwhelms Staunton River
December 11, 2023: Stuart, VA 24171 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) and the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), saw Patrick County's basketball squad wallop Staunton River by a tally of 68-39.
With the victory, Patrick County improves its record to 1-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Dan River (Ringgold, VA) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 14. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 2-3. Dan River lost 48-39 in their recent non-league challenge against Martinsville (Martinsville, VA)
Next up, the Golden Eagles confront the William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, December 13. Staunton River will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 0-3 record after their 50-44 non-league loss to Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA).
