Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Southwest Eagles (Miami, FL) and the visiting Varela Vipers (Miami, FL), saw Southwest's basketball squad hold off Varela by a tally of 35-34.

With the victory, Southwest improves its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Eagles host Sunset (Miami, FL) to confront the Knights in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 8. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 2-5.
