In Wednesday's league contest, the host The Gunston School Herons basketball team scored a close 35-34 triumph over the Worcester Prep Mallards.

The Herons (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Chapelgate Christian Academy (Marriottsville, MD). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Chapelgate Christian Academy was tipped by Saint James (Hagerstown, MD), 46-23, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mallards battle the Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 13. Worcester Prep will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record.
