December 11, 2024: Vienna, VA 22181 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Yorktown Patriots (Arlington, VA) and the host Oakton Cougars (Vienna, VA), observed Yorktown's basketball team overcome Oakton by a margin of 62-48.
The Patriots (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against James Madison (Vienna, VA). The Warhawks come into the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, James Madison defeated George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA), 67-25, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars battle the Washington-Liberty Generals (Arlington, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 13. Oakton will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Generals come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 54-21 non-league win over Falls Church (Falls Church, VA).
