The Mesquite Wildcats basketball squad (Gilbert, AZ), was nudged 68-63 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, AZ)

With the victory, Gilbert advances its record to 7-2 on the year. The Tigers travel to Cesar Chavez (Laveen, AZ) to meet the Champions in a non-league battle on Monday, December 15. The Champions come into the challenge with a record of 1-7. Cesar Chavez lost 80-53 in their recent non-league challenge against O'Connor (Phoenix, AZ)

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Westview Knights (Avondale, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 16. Mesquite will attempt to advance on its 5-4 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 5-3 record after their 67-34 non-league win over Tolleson (Tolleson, AZ).
