North Carolina High School Basketball - Phoenix Academy triumphant over Jordan-Matthews

December 11, 2025: Siler City, NC 27344

The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Phoenix Academy Firebirds (High Point, NC) and the host Jordan-Matthews Jets (Siler City, NC), observed Phoenix Academy's basketball team overwhelm Jordan-Matthews by a score of 63-23.

The Firebirds (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Surry HomeSchool (Mount Airy, NC). The Runnin' Patriots come into the non-league challenge with a 3-11 record. In their last battle, Surry HomeSchool was crushed by Gospel Light Christian (Walkertown, NC), 60-23, in a non-league battle.

The Jets now own a 1-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wheatmore for a non-league battle on Monday, December 15. Jordan-Matthews will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 55-17 non-league win over North Moore (Robbins, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 5-3.
