The Scituate Spartans basketball team scored 57 points and limited the visiting North Providence Cougars to 37 in the Spartans league triumph on Thursday.

The Spartans now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Hope for a Division II game on Thursday, December 18. Scituate will confront a Blue Wave team coming off a 79-27 league loss to Tiverton (Tiverton, RI). The Blue Wave record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, North Providence drops to 0-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Providence Country Day (East Providence, RI) to clash with the Knights in a Division III outing on Monday, December 15.
