California High School Basketball - El Capitan can't hold off Central Catholic
December 12, 2022: Modesto, CA 95351 The El Capitan Gauchos basketball team (Merced, CA), was nudged 42-40 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Central Catholic Raiders (Modesto, CA)
The Raiders now possess a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Atwater for a non-league battle on Friday, December 16. Central Catholic will battle a Falcons team coming off a 65-52 non-league win over Linden (Linden, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 4-1.
The Gauchos (4-3) will now prepare for their battle against Ripon (Ripon, CA). The Indians come into the non-league battle with a 0-4 record. In their last battle, Ripon was nudged by Golden Valley (Merced, CA), 58-56, in a non-league battle.
