California High School Basketball - Central Valley ripped by El Capitan
January 18, 2023: Ceres, CA 95307 The El Capitan Gauchos basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Central Valley Hawks to 38 in the Gauchos league triumph on Wednesday.
The Gauchos now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Merced for a contest on Monday, January 23. El Capitan will meet a Bears team coming off a 47-25 league win over Golden Valley (Merced, CA). The Bears record now stands at 10-7.
The Hawks (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Central Catholic (Modesto, CA). The Raiders enter the non-league contest with a 14-6 record. In their last contest, Central Catholic was routed by Kimball (Tracy, CA), 64-42, in a league contest.
