December 12, 2023: Cherokee, TX 76832 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, TX) and the visiting Bangs Dragons (Bangs, TX), saw Cherokee's basketball squad overcome Bangs by a tally of 38-24.
With the victory, Cherokee improves its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Rising Star (Rising Star, TX) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 14. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Rising Star lost 54-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Brookesmith (Brookesmith, TX)
Next up, the Dragons confront the Hamilton Bulldogs (Hamilton, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 15. Bangs will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 74-72 non-league loss to Eastland (Eastland, TX).
