Fairmont Heights Hornets (Capitol Heights, MD) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South (Upper Marlboro, MD), 87-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Fairmont Heights upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Hornets travel to College Park Academy (Riverdale, MD) to clash with the in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A bout on Thursday, December 14. The go into the bout with a record of 0-3. College Park Academy lost 67-23 in their recent league bout against Largo (Upper Marlboro, MD)

Next up, the clash with the Gwynn Park Yellowjackets (Brandywine, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A bout, on Thursday, December 14. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 68-39 league win over Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North (Laurel, MD).
