Arkansas High School Basketball - Maynard knocked off by Corning
December 12, 2023: Maynard, AR 72444 The Corning Bobcats basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Maynard Tigers to 41 in the Bobcats non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bobcats now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gosnell for a 3A Region 3 contest on Thursday, December 14. Corning will meet a Pirates team coming off a 76-45 league loss to Rivercrest (Wilson, AR). The Pirates record now stands at 4-2.
The Tigers (9-9) will now prepare for their contest against Salem (Salem, AR). The Greyhounds enter the non-league contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Salem was outscored by Hoxie (Hoxie, AR), 56-46, in a league contest.
