December 12, 2023: Islesboro, ME 04848 The Islesboro Central Eagles (Islesboro, ME) basketball knocked off the visiting Pine Tree Academy Breakers (Freeport, ME), 57-40 in Tuesday's league test.
The Eagles (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Wiscasset (Wiscasset, ME). The Wolverines go into the D South test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Wiscasset went down by Richmond (Richmond, ME), 96-26, in a non-league test.
The Breakers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Sacopee Valley for a non-league test on Thursday, December 14. Pine Tree Academy will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 58-49 league loss to Dirigo (Dixfield, ME). The Hawks record now stands at 0-2.
