In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) basketball squad felled the host Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC), by a margin of 65-50.

The Mountaineers (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Storm go into the 3A Big South outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, Stuart W. Cramer thwarted South Iredell (Statesville, NC), 57-49, in a non-league outing.
