The Spring Mills Cardinals basketball team scored 73 points and held the visiting Millbrook Pioneers to 37 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Parkersburg South for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 16.

The Pioneers (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson (Shenandoah Junction, WV). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Jefferson triumphed over Glenelg Country (Ellicott City, MD), 65-52, in a non-league contest.
