Monroe Central Golden Bears (Parker City, IN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Muncie Burris Owls (Muncie, IN), 51-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Monroe Central upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Golden Bears host Lapel (Lapel, IN) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 15. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Lapel won 61-23 in their recent non-league bout against Muncie Burris (Muncie, IN)

Next up, the Owls play the University Trailblazers (Carmel, IN) in a Pioneer - North bout, on Friday, January 12. Muncie Burris will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
