In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes basketball team scored a tight 69-62 triumph over the Science Hill Hilltoppers.

In their next game, the Hurricanes meet the Sevier County Smoky Bears (Sevierville, TN) in a 4A District 2 match, on Friday, December 15. Morristown-Hamblen East will attempt to better on its 11-3 season record. The Smoky Bears enter the match with a 6-3 record after their 67-57 non-league win over Farragut (Knoxville, TN).
