December 12, 2023: New Castle, PA 16105 The Slippery Rock Rockets basketball team (Slippery Rock, PA), was toppled 54-46 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Neshannock Lancers (New Castle, PA)
The Lancers now possess a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Freedom Area for a WPIAL 3A 1 battle on Friday, December 15. Neshannock will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 58-44 non-league loss to Avella (Avella, PA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-6.
The Rockets (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Perry Traditional Academy (Pittsburgh, PA). The Commodores come into the non-league battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Perry Traditional Academy was toppled by West Mifflin (West Mifflin, PA), 73-23, in a non-league battle.
