Illinois High School Basketball - Taft tops Niles West
December 12, 2023: Skokie, IL 60077 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Taft Eagles (Chicago, IL) and the host Niles West Wolves (Skokie, IL), saw Taft's basketball squad knock off Niles West by a tally of 61-53.
With the victory, Taft improves its record to 3-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Westinghouse (Chicago, IL) to play the Warriors in a Chicago Public - Red Northwest challenge on Wednesday, December 13. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 7-2. Westinghouse won 57-49 in their recent non-league challenge against Fremont (Oakland, CA)
Next up, the Wolves play the Maine East Blue Demons (Park Ridge, IL) in a Central Suburban - North challenge, on Friday, December 15. Niles West will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Blue Demons come into the challenge with a 6-2 record after their 50-48 non-league win over Niles Notre Dame (Niles, IL).
