Acorn Tigers (Mena, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Dierks Outlaws (Dierks, AR), 62-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Acorn upgrades its record to 15-3 on the season. The Tigers travel to Lavaca (Lavaca, AR) to play the Golden Arrows in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Golden Arrows go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Lavaca won 61-36 in their recent league bout against Western Yell County (Havana, AR)

Next up, the Outlaws play the Horatio Lions (Horatio, AR) in a 2A Region 7 bout, on Thursday, December 21. Dierks will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record.
