Mesick Bulldogs (Mesick, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Bear Lake Lakers (Bear Lake, MI), 34-21 in a league bout.

With the victory, Mesick upgrades its record to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Catholic Central (Manistee, MI) to play the Sabers in a West Michigan D bout on Thursday, December 14. The Sabers come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Lakers play the Walkerville Wildcats (Walkerville, MI) in a West Michigan D bout, on Thursday, December 14. Bear Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 41-21 league loss to Marion (Marion, MI).
