Maine High School Basketball - South Portland falls to Cheverus
December 12, 2023: Portland, ME 04103 In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Cheverus Stags basketball team scored a good 48-28 triumph over the South Portland Red Riots.
In their next game, the Stags meet the Oxford Hills Vikings (South Paris, ME) in a AA North match, on Friday, December 15. Cheverus will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 59-44 league win over Edward Little (Auburn, ME).
With the defeat, South Portland falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Red riots host Scarborough (Scarborough, ME) to play the Red Storm in a AA South challenge on Friday, December 15. The Red Storm come into the challenge with a record of 2-0. Scarborough won 40-35 in their recent non-league challenge against Windham (Windham, ME)
