South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Edward Little Red Eddies (Auburn, ME), 52-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, South Portland upgrades its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Red Riots travel to Massabesic (Waterboro, ME) to play the Mustangs in a AA South bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Massabesic lost 37-30 in their recent league bout against Bonny Eagle (Standish, ME)

Next up, the Red Eddies play the Bangor Rams (Bangor, ME) in a AA North bout, on Thursday, January 4. Edward Little will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record.
