The Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears (San Juan, TX), 62-21 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (17-7) will now prepare for their test against Rio Grande City (Rio Grande City, TX). The Rattlers go into the 5A Region IV District 30 test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Rio Grande City was trounced by San Benito (San Benito, TX), 31-28, in a non-league test.

The Bears now sport a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rivera for a non-league contest on Friday, December 15. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo will battle a Raiders team coming off a 53-27 non-league win over La Joya (La Joya, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 11-11.
