In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Mahanoy Area Golden Bears basketball team scored a big 64-19 triumph over the North Schuylkill Spartans.

The Golden Bears (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln Leadership Academy (Allentown, PA). The Lions go into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Lincoln Leadership Academy smashed Lehigh Christian Academy (Allentown, PA), 102-42, in a league contest.
