December 12, 2024: McAlester, OK 74501 Sapulpa Chieftains (Sapulpa, OK) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host McAlester Buffaloes (McAlester, OK), 70-60 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Sapulpa upgrades its record to 1-2 on the year. The Chieftains host Bartlesville (Bartlesville, OK) to face the Bruins in a 6A District 4 match on Tuesday, December 17. The Bruins enter the match with a record of 1-3. Bartlesville lost 35-33 in their recent non-league match against Latta (Ada, OK)
The Buffaloes now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Riverside Indian for a non-league match on Friday, December 13. McAlester will face a Braves squad coming off a 69-38 non-league win over Destiny Christian (Del City, OK). The Braves record now stands at 4-1.
