The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Will Rogers College Ropers (Tulsa, OK) and the visiting McAlester Buffaloes (McAlester, OK), observed Will Rogers College's basketball team edge McAlester by a margin of 65-63.

The Ropers (7-1) will now prepare for their bout against Memorial (Tulsa, OK). The Chargers go into the 5A District 4 bout with a 6-3 record. In their last bout, Memorial nudged Edison (Tulsa, OK), 65-37, in a league bout.

With the loss, McAlester falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Buffaloes host Durant (Durant, OK) to play the Lions in a 5A District 4 bout on Tuesday, January 7. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 6-5.
