In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Istrouma Indians basketball team scored a big 51-8 triumph over the St. Helena College and Career Academy Hawks.

The Indians (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Kentwood (Kentwood, LA). The Kangaroos go into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Kentwood was trounced by Independence (Independence, LA), 48-46, in a non-league contest.
