Arizona High School Basketball - Mountain Pointe triumphant over Chaparral

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ), observed Mountain Pointe's basketball team overwhelm Chaparral by a score of 72-46.

The Pride (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ). The Coyotes come into the 5A East Sky challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Campo Verde trounced Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ), 73-58, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Firebirds battle the Horizon Huskies (Scottsdale, AZ) in a 5A East Sky challenge, on Tuesday, December 16. Chaparral will attempt to improve on its 4-3 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 71-51 league loss to Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ).
