The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Cottondale Hornets (Cottondale, FL) and the visiting Sneads Pirates (Sneads, FL), observed Cottondale's basketball team overwhelm Sneads by a margin of 62-31.

The Hornets (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Malone (Malone, FL). The Tigers enter the Rural District 3 match with a 3-4 record. In their last match, Malone overwhelmed Sneads (Sneads, FL), 69-37, in a league match.

The Pirates now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ponce De Leon for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 16. Sneads will battle a Pirates team coming off a 41-36 non-league win over Holmes County (Bonifay, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 6-3.
