The West Jefferson Roughriders basketball team scored 57 points and limited the host Triad Cardinals to 43 in the Roughriders league triumph on Friday.

The Roughriders now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they host Elgin for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 16. West Jefferson will confront a Comets team coming off a 45-33 non-league loss to Delaware Christian (Delaware, OH). The Comets record now stands at 1-5.
